Boxing Promoters Association (BPA) was formed on July 20, 2009 and includes over thirty of the top United States promoters in the boxing industry. The purpose of the organization is to unite boxing promoters and to collectively correct the ills of the industry for the benefit of the whole boxing community. Ring 8 is a boxing organization dedicated to lending a helping hand to those in the boxing community who are less fortunate and may require assistance in terms of paying their rent, medical expenses, or whatever justifiable need.  Formed in 1954 by an ex-prizefighter, Jack Grebelsky, Ring 8 became the 8th subsidiary of what was then known as the National Veteran Boxers Association.
